BBC School Report
Therfield School has been presented with the opportunity to take part in the BBC School Report this year. This exciting and innovative project gives students the chance to become interested and passionate in the news by allowing them to understand the process of researching, planning and creating news stories themselves.
Working to a deadline, students can use reports they have prepared in advance and reports produced on the day, like BBC journalists.
They can cover local news stories from their schools and communities as well as national and international stories. Students are in control of writing, editing and composing the news stories, as well as taking accompanying photographs, researching stories and conducting interviews.
