Exam Results

Therfield is a high achieving school and students regularly achieve results well above the national average which enable them to progress successfully to the next stage in their education. We are a comprehensive school and we welcome students of all abilities. All students study for public examinations and are entered if they complete thecourse. At Therfield we have maintained a traditional, mainly GCSE curriculum, with some vocational courses for small groups of students where appropriate.

We are therefore very proud of the achievements of our students, our GCSE and A level results are regularly above national and Surrey averages. This success is a reflection of Therfield’s commitment to high expectations, the hard work of our students, the excellent teaching provided by the staff and the strong links we develop with parents.

2011

Key Stage 4 2011
This year’s KS4 results were the highest that Therfield has ever achieved. 76% of students gained 5 or more A*‐ C grades, over 60% with English and Maths. Several students achieved A* or A in all subjects, almost 10% of the year group achieved between 8 and 13 A* and A grades.

We are also very proud that 99.6% of the year group achieved at least one qualification and 97% gained at least 5. 100 achieved at least one entry level qualification.

A level 2011
We are delighted with our A level results which once again were outstanding, with 49% of grades at A* ‐ B. Comparisons with 1200 other sixth forms and colleges across the UK, place Therfield in the category of excellent student progress at A level.
